The episode covers the events of Episode 04, following Meteorite, Jessica, and Frostleaf's recon mission on a derelict satellite city of Chernobog, up until their first encounter with FrostNova.
Differences from the in-game story:
Kal'tsit checking on Amiya's rings, as told in 4-1, is omitted. However, she requests the Doctor to report to her any change the rings may have.
R.I.'s encounter with Reunion in the satellite city is almost immediately.
Amiya never bumps with an Infected child prior to finding Ch’en.
Ch'en's interaction with the girl is slightly more elaborated, as not only does she thank her for the teddy bear but also tells her to go inside so she doesn't catch a cold.
After returning to the landship, Amiya talks to the Doctor that it was her who shoudl've fought Misha instead, acknowledging how Ch'en killed her unlike in-game.
Exusiai, alongside Texas, Franka, and Liskarm, rendezvous with the Doctor and Amiya amidst their conversation from earlier, rather than before Amiya goes to the slums. On a comical side, Texas drags Exusiai to the door while leaving.
The recon squad also finds Mephisto and W and they're discovered, as told in 4-4. However, Jessica trying to take him down is omitted.
Amiya and R.I. propose a cooperation term with Ch'en and the Lungmen Guard Department after losing communications with the recon team, rather than after receiving their briefing. Additional L.G.D. agents are brought to the joint recon team on the satellite city.
Amiya confirming the presence of Reunion members hidden in Lungmen's residential district, as well as a potential Reunion attack on Lungmen based on the information gathered by R.I.'s scouts is omitted.
In the same scene, Hoshiguma reveals that the satellite city had undocked from Chernobog during the incident, but it was abandoned by the Ursus government.
Ch'en spotting Talulah's silhouette and chasing her after, as told in 4-6, is shown in greater detail.
The recon team finding Infused Originium Slugs, also told in 4-6, is omitted. Instead, they’re surrounded by Reunion.
Medic's cameo while inspecting the frostbitten Operators from the rescued recon teams is omitted and is replaced by an unnamed female Ursus Medic Operator.
As told in 4-8, two Reunion members spot Amiya and the Doctor before being taken down by Frostleaf. However, unlike in-game, there are no Reunion Casters present.
FrostLeaf telling Amiya about the Yeti Squadron is omitted.
Reunion burning down a city square, as told in 4-9 is shown in more detail, albeit any explicit imagery of burned down corpses is omitted. Nevertheless, Meteorite is shown covering her mouth and nose from the corpses' stench.
The episode covers the events of 4-10, featuring R.I.'s recon team's fight with FrostNova, and the prelude of Reunion's invasion of Lungmen.
Differences from the in-game story:
Mephisto explains that the wealthy Chernobog citizens used the satellite city to try saving themselves, but their desperate attempts were futile. So they're using Reunion's logo as a "symbol of terror" to mock them.
This is later corroborated by FrostLeaf's account, as she says that the Yeti Squadron killed some Chernobogian citizens who were begging for help.
FrostLeaf tries to attack Mephisto, but Amiya restrains her. Afterwards, they retreat to a nearby building.
Amiya uses her Originium Arts to read Jessica's emotions and comfort her after having a panic attack.
The song FrostNova sings while casting her Arts is a shortened version of Lullabye.
R.I. destroying a building to escape is more elaborated; Under the Doctor's command, Amiya and Jessica shoot at a nearby Originium formation, while FrostLeaf interrupts FrostNova's Arts channeling and overwhelming her.
Jessica receives an urgent message from Ch'en about Reunion's invasion, rather than Meteorite.
The episode covers the first half of Episode 05 and focuses on Ch'en's fight against the Reunion forces in Lungmen.
Differences from the in-game story:
Ch'en's squad is killed by Reunion as told in 5-1. However, this is further elaborated as Swire saves her from the mortar that killed her teammates shortly after contacting R.I.
Additionally, Swire claims that the teammates survived, but Ch'en received the mortar shell's impact.
According to Hoshiguma, Ch'en's medical exam reported no internal damage or fracture, and she simply passed out due to the impact.
During Ch'en and Swire's discussion, the two call each other "Puk Gaai[note 4] Lung" and "San Han Aa Ma" respectively, while the Japanese subtitles mark it as *Lungmen Swearing*.
Upon leaving the cabin, Ch'en and Hoshiguma come across an unnamed R.I. Operator as told in 5-2. Rather than offering their help like in-game, he puts in question the L.G.D.'s actions for leaving Amiya and the Doctor behind in the satellite city's ruins.
Ch'en feeling guilty for not being able to fulfill her responsibilities and abandoning Amiya is omitted.
Phal thinks that Reunion might've burned his eyes, thus explaining his bandages.
Ch'en's old house is shown in more detail, and she even implies that she never had a good relationship with her father.
The estate, however, is seemingly untouched rather than damaged by Reunion's attack.
The picture depicting young Ch'en and Talulah has a more elaborated background, featuring a brick wall, trees and flowers. Unlike in-game where it's blank. Their clothes also have different colors.
The Reunion Caster present during the Paci Plaza raid is female, whereas in-game their gender is left ambiguous. She later detonates the explosives after being aprehended by Hoshiguma.
The destroyed 1.8 million LMD piano mentioned in 5-6 is shown.
While passing by the Vitalfield store, Hoshiguma remarks that their spring season clothing has arrived. Ch'en argues that he spends money on clothing from time to time but never had time to wear them. Additionally, the clothes that the mannequins wear bear resemblance to Siege's "Legacy" outfit.
Hoshiguma also recommends Ch'en to visit Siesta for a holiday, which is a reference to her cameo in Heart of Surging Flame.
The episode covers the later half of Episode 05, this time focusing on the L.G.D. taking back their headquarters, as well as Blaze and the Possessed' debut.
Differences from the in-game story:
The episode starts with Mephisto overlooking the L.G.D. forces from the HQ's rooftop, while Faust informs him about the loss of Paci Plaza.
The Possessed's introduction is shown gradually, first appearing as ragged Reunion members wandering aimlessly, before Mephisto uses his Arts to transform them.
Faust's invisibility Arts are shown.
The L.G.D.'s HQ interior is shown in more detail, including corridors, staircases, the first floor's lobby, and offices.
This is further elaborated in concept art shown in concept art shown in Arknights Official Artworks Vol. 2 and Arknights Animation Artworks Vol.1.
Blaze jokingly asks Faust if she looks like a Caster. Funny enough, this could be taken as a foreshadow for her Caster version, Blaze the Igniting Spark.
Mephisto, Faust, and the Phantom Crossbowmen use gliders to quickly escape the collapsing rooftop, while Blaze fails to hit them.
The episode covers the first half of Episode 06, with the ongoing invasion of Reunion, and the Shadow Guard in action.
Differences from the in-game story:
The episode starts with a flashback of Mephisto and Faust's childhood, where the former shows the latter a book about ideals, as told in 6-6. This is presented as a dream Faust had in the aftermath of the L.G.D. HQ battle.
Other flashbacks from their childhood are shown toward the end, including Mephisto shortly after an overweight woman shoved an Originium chunk down his throat, and later during his bullies into "Herds." Alina also makes a cameo in one of their flashbacks.
The young Faust promises that he will beat down Mephisto's father if he ever tries to harm him, rather than referring to the bullies.
In the English subtitles, when Mephisto is having a breakdown and smashing a table to pieces, he shouts "Blyat" [note 7] multiple times.
Blaze dispatching a Reunion team, as told in 6-1, is much shorter. It also omits some parts, notably an L.G.D. agent asking her to identify, and a Reunion member calling her a disgrace for the Infected.
In fact, Blaze's encounter with the L.G.D. happens later, but their dialogue between them is brief.
Blaze hugging Amiya after she rendezvous with the rest afterwards is shown.
GreyThroat also debuts in the same scene, but her dialogues are omitted.
Any reference to Gavial is omitted despite being mentioned in 6-1 and later on.
Reunion shooting a Lungmenite broadcast drone, also told in 6-1, is omitted.
Mephisto's Herd is unleashed once more, as told in 6-3. Amongst them include three unmasked Reunion members that were being apprehended by the L.G.D. and Swire, a horde chasing down a lone Reunion member who rushed towards R.I.'s forces, and Ivan (Who oversaw watching over Misha).
The L.G.D. guard who's heard being eaten alive by the Herds, as told in 6-4, is omitted, likely due to how gruesome it sounds.
The Yanese Censors' debut is omitted, and instead they appear in the following episode.
The Shadow Guard's purge of the Infected in the slums is briefly shown. Amongst the victims include the Herds, and one of the rioters (A Phidia) from Arknights: Prelude to Dawn.
Additionally, Ch’en first encounters three of them on a rooftop.
Instead of being killed with R.I.'s assist, the L.G.D. takes down Faust with a barrage of crossbow bolts while being chased by the Herds. He also uses his Arts to make Mephisto and the Phantom Crossbowmen restraining him invisible, thus using his last strength to protect them.
The episode covers additional events of Episode 06's second half onwards, as well as parts from 6-2.
Differences from the in-game story:
During the L.G.D.'s sweeping, a lone surviving Infected woman from the Shadow Guard's purge is found by Ch'en and the L.G.D. She's later seen alongside Nine and Reunion.
Blaze makes a full appearance during the flashback shown in 6-2, arguing with Ace and Scout about GreyThroat's inability to express herself with words. She also threatens Ace with plucking every hair of his beard.
In the flashback, Rosmontis says that she wanted to check the June 2nd logs, rather than the June 12th ones.
GreyThroat helping an Infected child as told in 6-11 is shown in greater detail. However, she's knocked down by a Reunion soldier with a crossbow stock before being saved by Blaze. Luckily, GreyThroat quickly regains consciousness, and the child is sent somewhere safe.
Amiya talks about GreyThroat's parents after her recovery, rather than after Faust's sacrifice 6-7.
Leizi, Taihe, and Jie Zhen are briefly seen on a rooftop, but they never interact with the L.G.D.
During Crownslayer's duel with Kal'tsit, Mon3tr gains full advantage and is about to vaporize her with an energy beam, until Kal'tsit orders them to stop.
The episode covers the events from 6-8 to 6-11, following R.I.'s rescue from the satellite city ruins, and the Yeti Squadron arriving at Lungmen.
Differences from the in-game story:
The Bad Guy's pilot who transports Blaze is depicted as a Kuranta. Whether it's Dylan (The aircraft's pilot in-game) or not is yet to be confirmed.
The ground beneath R.I. and the yetis collapses immediately after Blaze clashed with FrostNova's Arts from above, resulting in a large explosion.
In fact, Blaze and FrostNova's clashes occur right after the former jumps from the Bad Guy, rather than after landing.
FrostNova's flashback from the labor camp mentioned in 6-13 is shown in greater detail. However, any mention of the Great Rebellion and Patriot's son Grrovae'zzeal is omitted, and she simply refers to Patriot as a hero of Ursus.
Several Shieldguards also appear in the flashback.
R.I. and the Yetis' excavation mission is shown in greater detail. The Yetis use their Arts to create a hole to easily get the Doctor and FrostNova from the debris.
A Yeti Squadron with a scar on his mouth, presumably Yeti #1, proposes a ceasefire between both parties. He's later shot in the head by the L.G.D.
The Yetis are annihilated by both the L.G.D. and the Shadow Guards much to R.I.'s horror.
Petrova, one of the Yetis, makes a full appearance during the Shadow Guard's attack.
A sturdier Yeti is shown resisting multiple crossbow bolts before being stabbed by two L.G.D officers.
Leizi and the Censors show up following the massacre, rather that much earlier. They also directly speak to Ch'en about the Infected situation in Lungmen.
Blaze never attacks the censors unlike in 6-14, and Jie Zhen's referencing Gu Quan is omitted.
The Yetis and Phantom Crossbowmen are shown helping the Infected leave the slums through the underground.
The episode covers the events from 6-16/Story to 6-18, featuring R.I.'s final showdown with FrostNova.
Differences from the in-game story:
R.I. is shown recovering the Yetis presumably for cremation.
GreyThroat aims at FrostNova from above, but her position is acknowledged and is attacked. Blaze on the other hand manages to strike FrostNova down with her chainsaw.
FrostNova freezes the underpass after being attacked by Blaze rather than upon welcoming R.I. Moreover, she sings Lullaby once again, much to Blaze's confusion.
FrostNova manages to freeze Amiya's rings and inflict frostbite on her fingers.
In addition of her Arts, FrostNova also uses a cube-shapped drone to attack, which takes Blaze down in one scene. The drone is later destroyed.
Amiya, the Doctor, Blaze, and GreyThroat are almost frozen to death by FrostNova’s powers, until she suffers a seizure because of her Arts worsening her Oripathy.
In the same scene, FrostNova sings Lullaby for one last time before succumbing to her symptoms.
Wei Yenwu's unnamed receptionist makes a full appearance.
Ch'en finding what's implied to be the Infected residents’ corpses in the sewers is shown.
In the aftermath of the fight with FrostNova, Blaze is shown with a more optimistic attitude rather than pessimistic for their pyric victory. She tells GreyThroat that regardless of being Infected or not, everyone must deal with some kind of pain in their lives.
When Ch'en confronts Wei after returning from the sewers, she never asks if he killed Edward Artorius in the first place, nor how Talulah told her about Wei's secret.
