Arknights Wiki

Ascalon is an NPC in Arknights. She is mentioned in various Operators' files and makes a brief appearance in Vigilo before appearing in person as a supporting character in Episode 10.

Background[]

Ascalon is the director of Rhodes Island's S.W.E.E.P. branch as well as an R.I. field operative. She was previous a member of the Military Commission and a follower of Regent Theresis until she defected to Babel due to ideological differences, something that even Manfred considers treason.[1] She witnessed the fall of the organization in the years 1094 and often blames herself for the failure and Theresa's death due to her absence during the siege, as the Doctor sent her on a mission away from the landship.[2] Since then, Ascalon will stick with Kal'tsit all the time so that the previous mistake will never happen again,[3] and swears to ensure that those who killed Theresa will pay.[1]

Ascalon uses an armblade named "Avenger," which is said to be her reward after accomplishing her first mission for the Commission. The weapon was given by Theresis and Theresa was the one who helped her wear it.[4]

For unknown reasons, records of Ascalon's mission participations are omitted from the R.I. database.[5]

Ascalon is mentioned in various Operators' files and makes a brief appearance in Vigilo before appearing in person as a supporting character on Episode 10, long before her introduction as an Operator in the Babel event.

Episode 10[]

In Episode 10, Ascalon plays a crucial role as part of the Rhodes Island team’s mission. The team aims to infiltrate the heavily fortified city with the aid of Misery, Logos, Ascalon, and W. Their goal is to get in touch with Heidi Thompson, Kal’tsit’s personal Messenger.

Ascalon, along with other team members, including the Doctor, Amiya, Closure, and the Glasgow gang, acts as a guardian for Siege, heir to the Victorian throne. Ascalon closely supervises W during her actions. Despite their past enmity, she expresses a willingness to cooperate with W. During a conversation, W learns that Ines (previously believed to be executed) is still alive and currently in Londinium, Victoria. Ascalon wishes her luck on her mission.

Episode 11[]

Vignettes[]

Vigilo[]

As part of her job, Ascalon stuck around W so that she could supervise W's action. She followed W until W noticed her presence after W's talk with the boiler worker. W's conversation with her revealed that Ines is still alive and is currently in Londinium, Victoria. Ascalon remained silent, but she suddenly spoke by stating that she would like to cooperate W even though they were once enemies. With that said, W casually left and bid her good luck for her mission in Londinium.[6]
