Burning Breath is a Negative Status (although not acknowledged as such in-game) in Arknights.
Effect[]
A unit being inflicted with Burning Breath is indicated by a flaming circle on them. In this state, the unit will receive Pure damage every second, which gradually increases the longer they are affected by Burning Breath, up to a limit. The stacking damage is reset when Burning Breath expires, which takes ~30 seconds.

Against enemies[]
All instances of Burning Breath on enemy units deal 200 damage on the first tick and +10 on every subsequent tick (210 on the second, 220 on the third, 230 on the fourth, etc.), up to a maximum of 400 (from the 21st tick onwards).
