Capone is an NPC in Arknights. He is one of the antagonists of Code of Brawl and one of the main characters of Wolf and Wolfpack, part of To Be Continued, and a supporting character in Il Siracusano.

Background[]

Capone grew up together with Gambino in Siracusa and made their first blood when their fathers ordered them to dispose of a traitor. At some point Capone and Gambino became sworn brothers, making their oath before their fathers' grave.[1]

Seven years, in the year 1090, Capone, once part of the Siracusan Sicilians, was sent to Lungmen to run the famiglia's branch in the nomadic city. However, a "fiasco" happened when the Capone famiglia was ultimately purged by Signora Sicilia after an offense against her which results in Gambino fleeing Siracusa. The latter has since been taking over the leadership of the Lungmen branch, relegating Capone to be the branch's second-in-command.[1]

Unwilling to incur the wrath of the Rat King, the Zalak godfather of Lungmen's underworld,[2] Capone made a certain deal with him,[3] but plans to take care of the Rat King when the opportunity presents itself.[1] He adopts a "cautious" approach in commanding the Family, which made Gambino sees him as "weak"; in turn, Capone views that Gambino's "direct" approach could be the Family's undoing.[4]

Side Stories[]

Code of Brawl[]

Capone and Gambino are first seen playing a card game on a bar in Lungmen. When they start arguing on their approach in leading the Mafia, the bar's owner Emperor was annoyed, ending in a shootout.[5]

As part of the plan suggested by Capone to deal with Emperor, Penguin Logistics, and their partner MountainDash Logistics[3] as well as taking over their assets,[4] Capone and Gambino oversees the ambush on the car carring Bison on Lungmen's highways, though Capone shows concern that their judicious use of explosives might attract the Rat King's attention. When the P.L. crew's intervenes, Capone engaged them but fails to keep them from escaping with Bison, with Gambino berating him for letting Bison slip off their grasp and Capone replying that he is not a "kidnapping expert".[6]

After P.L. escapes another ambush by the mafioso via stolen motorcycles, Capone keeps his men from touching the civilians. Gambino urges Capone to take more drastic measures, but he reminds him that they have to play by Lungmen's rules. After Gambino leaves, Capone had his men renege his deal with the Rat King and interrogate his associates (one of which includes Uncle Tung), before claiming that Gambino had "screwed up".[3]

Later Capone approached the mafioso who were ordered by Gambino to kidnap Bison and shot them dead. Capone offers his help to take care of Gambino before he can cause serious damage, but Bison refuses. Before Capone could kill Bison, Mostima appears; knowing that the fallen Sankta is too strong, Capone withdraws along with his mafioso.[4]

Gambino confronts Capone after the unsuccessful attack on The End of the World bar, and after arguing of their different methods, fights against each other. Amidst the "brother versus brother" fight, the P.L. crew shows up, resulting in a stand-off between the mafioso and the P.L.[1] The brawl ends when the Rat King intervenes with his sand Arts, with Capone using the confusion to escape.[7]

Capone ordered the mafioso following him to leave, knowing that they have stirred the hornet's nest, before confronting Gambino who accuses him of selling out the Family. Amidst the confrontation, Jaye and Waai Fu intervenes in retaliation for the mafioso's attack on Uncle Tung under Capone's order, with the former fighting Capone.[8]

Amidst the fight, the Rat King himself appears; realizing that Gambino is about to incur the Rat King's wrath, Capone stays his hand as Gambino confronts the Rat King, who easily overpowers him with his sand Arts. When Gambino is left helpless by the quicksand created by the Rat King's Arts, Capone used this moment to stab Gambino in the back, severely injuring him. He then offered his service to the Rat King, who replied that he have no need of a "backstabber" like Capone as the mafioso turns out to have defected into the Rat King's side. Knowing that he had lost, Capone surrenders to the Rat King, who chooses to let him walk away.[9]

Though a flashback Capone spoke to Rat King and asked his permission for attacking Penguin Logistics.[10]

In the aftermath, Capone intercepts Gambino, who is escaping after making an enemy out of whole Lungmen by his actions, and reveals that Lungmen is also out for his blood. Before the confrontation ends up in another brother versus brother fight, Lappland appears to deal with the "turncoats".[11]
