As the name suggests, Ceobe's Fungimist focuses on the eponymous Operator's "adventures" induced by hallucinations suffered by the Perro from eating magic mushrooms that grows on Acahualla. This is evident in the Fungimist part of the title, which is a portmanteau of "fungi" (the plural form of fungus, Latin for "mushroom") and "mist".

The Hound and the Rainbow[]

As shown in RI-1 Before, Ceobe ate mushrooms out of her hunger which turned out to be poisonous, according to Gavial. The poison is a hallucinogenic one which caused Ceobe to see imaginary Reunion fighters around her, which she drove off before finds one of her most favourite delicacy, Minoan honey biscuits, forming a path which leads her to a journey with imaginary assistance from other Rhodes Island personnel, meeting various people and facing various obstacles along the way. These are likely based on the people she met and experiences she had during her years wandering through Terra's wilderness.

Ceobe's encounters include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Several run-ins with the mischievous Liberi businessman Duck Lord and his Ursine bodyguard Gopnik
  • Finding an ancient toaster amidst a desert
  • Meeting drunk L.G.D. officers and an L.G.D. inspector searching them
  • Listening to a storyteller's last tale
  • Participating in the Sarkaz Black Procession
  • Encountering Archosaurians brawling over the one with the most beautiful tail in the jungle
  • Encountering an injured Cautus girl, which is obviously a trap set by bandits
  • Encountering a kind Messenger
  • Encountering a Sarkaz who lost their marbles and claiming that a Sankta took "the Key" from them
  • Meeting a Victorian knight and his servant searching for the "Sacred Originium Grenade"
  • Finding the remains of a massive beast by chance
  • Entering a Messenger resting area
  • Stopping by a forest full of noxious miasma
  • Stumbling across an ancient vending machine with a special prize that is yet unclaimed
  • Meeting an R.I. recon squad
  • Encountering the notorious Rusthammers raiding a caravan
  • Getting a valuable item from a chest with the R.I. Logistics Department markings on it
  • Listening to amazing stories from a storyteller
  • Meeting a Kjerag caravan
  • Joining the Durins in a drinking contest
  • Encountering a suspicious but (somewhat) trustworthy Zalak arms dealer
  • Participating in an Originium Slug race

Throughout her adventure, Ceobe also fights a wide variety of enemies, from Reunion warriors, Big Bob who has since running an Originium Slug ranch, to Sarkaz mercenaries.

"Wake up, Ceobe!"[]

As her hallucination grows deeper, Ceobe started to cause trouble in reality, including attacking the Eunectes tribe's village under the belief that it is an enemy stronghold. From here, there are three possible outcomes depending on the player's decisions.

Dust of Dreams[]

After defeating the Rusthammer Warrior, Ceobe stands in the middle of a desert as her hallucination starts to fade, ending with her being struck by rocks falling from the sky and lose consciousness, waking up in the middle of the Eunectes village surrounded by Gavial and co., finally returning to her senses as she smiles happily from the experience.

This is the canonical outcome, as shown in RI-7 After where Gavial smacks Ceobe to snap her out of her hallucinations, explaining the rocks that hit her near the end of her hallucination.

Perplexed Traveller[]

Ceobe encountered a dying bounty hunter who seeks to find a treasure and followed his trail, recovering a strange map with some difficulty that leads to a fictional place at first, but she found an odd flyer upon further search which reveals that things are more than what they bargained for; it leads to a city haunted by a Collapsal who, according to a Sami fairy tale, was once a Snowpriestess.

After putting the Collapsal, called "Frozen Monstrosity", out of her misery, Ceobe returns to reality just like in Dust of Dreams, but wakes up with a bag full of Minoan honey biscuits in her hands, leaving the Perro wondering whether everything she experienced is a dream or not; in fact, quite how the honey biscuits appear in Ceobe's hands out of nowhere remains a mystery.

Return to the Wild

Ceobe recovered a strange chest following a brutal crossfire between mercenaries and a mysterious key from a violent foe. Using the key to open the chest, she finds out that the chest contains a "dead man's gun", which overwhelms Ceobe with the realization that bloodshed is the nature of every Terran (the Deathless Black Snake may be right, after all). Ceobe ended up straying from the intended path before meeting an entity known only as the "Gravestone", implied to be born from the violence done by the Terrans in a similar way to Shadows on the Persona series.

Ceobe Returns to the Wild

The innocent and airheaded Perro had returned to the wilderness, never to be seen again

After defeating the Gravestone, Ceobe is welcomed by voices and saw a throne in front of her. When she sat in the throne and wearing a crown of mushrooms appearing from thin air, Ceobe suddenly sees herself in the middle of an endless field in the embrace of a great beast. Upon looking at the beast, who sees Ceobe as if she was their offspring, the Perro knew that she had returned home, before they leave together to the great beyond. As time passes, Ceobe's consciousness and body merged with the land, eventually becoming one with Terra itself.

What happened to Ceobe implies that she had died amidst her hallucination, most likely from being killed by the Eunectes tribesmen in retaliation for the destruction she brought to the village, had Gavial and co. did not arrive in time to stop her. Fortunately, as stated above, this outcome is non-canonical.
