The Chitotex Clawbeast is a normal enemy in Arknights. It first appears in A Flurry to the Flame.
Description
- An herbivore that dwells by cliffsides, their front claws equipped for digging out rock faces. They grow rear shells hard enough to withstand falling stones, but bear unusually soft bellies. Their delicious meat is the primary cause of their falling population.
- Weak spot located on its front, damage dealt to the rear significantly decreased.

A cliff-dwelling herbivore resembling the now-extinct glyptodonts on Earth with a thick exoskeleton and being endangered due to over-hunting for their delicious meat, Chitotex Clawbeasts have high HP that allows them to soak up damage along with decent ATK, although their defenses are extremely low. Chitotex Clawbeasts take only 0.2× Physical and Arts damage when attacked from the rear due to their exoskeleton, but take full Physical/Arts damage when attacked from their front where their unprotected belly is. An arrow below their HP bar points towards where the Chitotex Clawbeast is currently facing.
