An androgynous Minoan – possibly a Liberi – and the subject of an out-of-print pulp fiction magazine who acts as a "hero of justice" punishing evildoers with their Originium Arts-infused martial arts, for all intents and purposes, the so-called Conviction turns out to be a real individual and has now joined Rhodes Island to deliver retribution towards all who mistreats the Infected!

Gameplay[]

Conviction is a 4★ Dreadnought Guard who specializes in DPS, Survival, Crowd-Control, and Nuker, and is given out to all Global players every April Fools starting from 2021 (unless if the player already have Conviction); before this, they are introduced on the CN server in April Fools 2020 through a code that can be redeemed at Blibli. As a Dreadnought Guard, Conviction has high HP and ATK, and can only block a single enemy, but their stats are noticeably lower than other Dreadnought Guards though they also comes with a lower DP cost. However, Conviction's potential cannot be increased in any way.

Conviction's skills allow them to inflict massive damage to anything in their way, but both of them heavily relies on the player's luck, so they are not to be counted most of the time:

  • The first skill, Judgment, behaves identically to that of Power Strike skills, but has an automatic SP recovery, can hold up to three charges, and has a 5% chance to quadruple the ATK modifier; with Judgment at Mastery 3 and combined with ATK buffs, DEF debuffs, and damage amplifications, it has been known to inflict over 40000 damage in a single hit should the second effect is triggered, allowing Conviction to defeat just about every enemy with one hit!
  • The second skill, Genesis, unleashes an explosion which deals massive Arts damage to enemies in a radius of 2 tiles around Conviction and Silences them for a short time. However, Genesis has a 50% chance to fail, where it Stuns friendly units (including Conviction themself) in its radius instead!

Conviction's talent, Safe Landing, cuts their already low DP cost further as well as reducing their redeployment cooldown, at the cost of stunning Conviction for 10 seconds as soon as they are deployed.

Conviction's DRE-X Operator Module, The Fist of Conviction, increases the damage they dealt when attacking enemies that are being blocked to 1.15×, in addition to increasing their maximum HP and ATK; once upgraded, Safe Landing's DP cost and redeployment time reductions are increased.

Conviction's first base skill, Apocalypse, increases the morale recovery rate an Operator resting in a Dormitory whose morale aren't full by 0.7 per hour when they are assigned to one. Their second base skill, Boxing Guidance Video, increases Factories' Battle Record productivity by 35% when Conviction is assigned to one.

Overall, Conviction is actually meant as a "joke Operator" who are not to be taken seriously (true to the fact that they are released in April Fools), but if the Goddess of Fortune is on the player's side, Conviction can be surprisingly just as useful as other Operators.

Pros Cons
  • Low DP cost with Safe Landing lowering it further, in addition to reducing redeployment cooldown
  • Judgment can deal absurd damage if the player is very lucky to have its second effect triggered and when combined with ATK buffs and/or DEF debuffs
  • Genesis is a very effective crowd-control skill if it succeeds
  • Very accessible to all players, given every April Fools
  • Mediocre stats and can only block a single enemy
  • Safe Landing stuns Conviction for a short time after they are deployed
  • Judgment's second effect is extremely unreliable due to the very low proc chance
  • Genesis has a 50:50 chance to succeed; if it fails, Conviction and friendly units in its radius will be Stunned instead
  • Potential cannot be improved whatsoever
