Guardian Defender (Chinese: 守护者; Pinyin: Shǒuhù zhě), colloquially known as Healing or Medic Defender, is a branch of the Defender class in Arknights.
Guardian Defenders are capable of restoring the HP of friendly units through their skills, which allows them to act as substitutes for Medics. Compared to other Defenders, Guardian Defenders have lower HP and DEF, and blocks two enemies initially or three from Elite 1, but have higher ATK and some RES. Guardian Defenders have an attack range of the same tile as themselves with the sole exception to Blemishine, whose attack range covers the tile ahead of her like other melee Operators.

Strategies[]
- Guardian Defender's healing interval is longer than most Medics due to their healings being mostly from their skills. Therefore, it is not recommended to use them as the sole healer.
Modules[]
- The GUA-X Module allows the Guardian Defender to quickly save friendlies (or in the worst case, themselves) who are in critical HP from being knocked out.
- The GUA-Y Module improves the Guardian Defender's survivability, notably since the damage reduction also applies to Pure damage – which is one of the few ways to mitigate it.
