NPC | Enemy | Trivia |
Dikaiopolis acts as the main boss of Near Light under the name The Blood Knight Dikaiopolis.
Description
- The Blood Knight, Dikaiopolis. The originator of Kazimierz's Infected Knight program, the hero of the Grand Knight Territory's Infected, and an idol to countless children. What exactly did the "hero" give up to obtain the peace we know today?
- Reduce damage taken, however this effect is ineffective against the unit blocking self; "Exsanguination": Stun the target and deal Arts damage every second; After the HP of his first form drops to 0, enters "Resurrection Stance". During this period, the Blood Knight is invulnerable and continuously summons Bloodblades, and enters the second form after some time. If the Blood Knight's HP is restored to its maximum while in "Resurrection Stance", he will return to his first form; During his second form, he has increased ATK, uses ranged attacks, and continuously summons Bloodblades.
Overview[]
With towering HP and ATK, high DEF, and decent RES, the former knight champion is a dangerous enemy to do battle with. In addition to his sheer stats, Dikaiopolis has a wide variety of abilities to amplify his menace, including the ability to potentially infinitely prolong his fight if the player does not know how to deal with his revival.
- Dikaiopolis takes 25% less Physical and Arts damage from friendly units that are not blocking him.
- Exsanguination: Charges up and launches a blood-red bolt at the most recently deployed friendly unit from anywhere on the map or the one blocking Dikaiopolis, Stunning the victim for 10 seconds and dealing 200 Arts damage every second over the same duration, with a cooldown of 10 seconds from when he spawns and 15 seconds afterward.
- Resurrection Stance: When his HP reaches 0 for the first time, Dikaiopolis regains 50% HP and enters the Resurrection Stance for 60 seconds during which he is invulnerable and disabled, and Bloodblades will spawn 2 seconds after Dikaiopolis enters the Resurrection Stance and every 10 seconds afterward.
- If Dikaiopolis fully restores his HP through the Bloodblades while in the Resurrection Stance, he will re-enter the first phase; this can repeat indefinitely, which would render Dikaiopolis unbeatable.
- If the Resurrection Stance (see above) ends without Dikaiopolis fully restoring his HP, he will instead enter the second phase, indicated by him switching to a bloody greatsword, with the following properties:
- Invulnerable for 6 seconds after entering the second phase, indicated by a yellow aura surrounding Dikaiopolis.
- ATK increased by 50%.
- Attack range increased to 1.3 tiles; the attack is now considered as ranged, allowing Dikaiopolis to hit friendly units in both melee and ranged tiles. Combined with the ATK buff, Dikaiopolis' attacks are strong enough to knock out ranged Operators with one hit!
- The Physical/Arts damage reduction from friendly units that are not blocking Dikaiopolis becomes twice as effective (50%).
- Spawn Bloodblades 5 seconds after entering the second phase and every 12 seconds afterward, telegraphed by Dikaiopolis raising his greatsword momentarily.
