The Dublinn Flamechaser Guard is an elite enemy in Arknights. They first appear in What the Firelight Casts.

Description

A Dublinn defender fused with their Leader's ember. Long since dead, but the Arts embedded in their equipment keep them standing to fight for their ambitions.

Attacks deal additional Burn damage while near burning Reeds and takes reduced Physical and Arts damage; when defeated, turns into an Invisible Ember of Avarice that must be damaged 10 times to defeat, respawns after a period of time

Overview[]

An elite Dublinn soldier who, in a scary twist like Flamechaser Soldiers, is actually a cadaver reanimated by Eblana's necromantic Arts that allows them to continue fighting so long as the embers acting as the source of their undeath is not stamped out, Dublinn Flamechaser Guards are a step-up from Flamechaser Soldiers with good HP and decent defenses along with solid melee Arts attacks. To compound their strengths, Flamechaser Guards will have the Physical and Arts damage they took halved while in a radius of 1.5 tiles around a Burning Reeds and their attacks will inflict Burn Damage build-up equal to their ATK as well (indicated by purple flames swirling around them), making them significantly more dangerous than Flamechaser Soldiers.

When the Flamechaser Guard is defeated, it will turn into an Ember of Avarice after 1 second that does not attack, are invisible, and must be attacked 10 times to destroy; if the Ember is not destroyed in 10 seconds, the Flamechaser Guard will be resurrected with full HP, thus it is imperative to quickly detect (including blocking) and destroy the Ember to take down the Flamechaser Guard for good.
