Eunectes is a 6★ Duelist Defender who specializes in DPS, Survival, and Defense; the first two of which is very unusual for her class. What defines Eunectes as a Duelist Defender is that she can only block a single enemy unlike any other Defenders, but have a very high ATK (the highest of all Defenders which even surpasses most Dreadnought Guards, including Skadi) to offset this and can attack enemies on the tile in front of her as with most melee Operators, thus making Eunectes behave more like a hybrid of Protector Defender and Dreadnought Guard. However, her DP cost is staggeringly high: 33 at Elite 2, thus preventing Eunectes from being deployed quickly, and she can only generate SP while blocking an enemy, even with "SP generators" (e.g. Liskarm and Warfarin), making all but one of Eunectes' skills (see below) charged up at an achingly slow rate – moreso than Operators with offensive or defensive SP recovery.

Speaking about Eunectes' skills, they are an interesting combination of bolstering both her DPS and survival specializations by allowing her to inflict more damage and last longer on the field:

  • The first skill, Tomahawk, passively buffs Eunectes' ATK and DEF, and is the only of her skills that are not subject to her negative trait as mentioned above.
  • The second skill, Menacing Slash, buffs Eunectes' ATK and causes the enemy she is blocking to be stunned until the skill expires, but increases her attack interval while active. With Menacing Slash, Eunectes can easily take on strong enemies by "stunlocking" them, leaving the poor foe helpless against her attacks, and can be used to great effect against Avengers and hard-hitting bosses (with an exception to those which cannot be stunned).
  • The third skill, Iron Will, has Eunectes withdraw from the battlefield and call in the High Priest piloting the Raging Ironhide to take her place while active, which retains Eunectes' HP and has the same stats but with greatly buffed ATK and DEF, can block up to three enemies (like that of most Defenders), and regenerates HP over time, amplifying her offensive and defensive capabilities up to eleven, and allows her to easily dispatch literally anything in her way. When Iron Will expires, the High Priest/Raging Ironhide pulls out to allow Eunectes to return to the battlefield, who retains the walker's HP but will be stunned for a short time upon returning, though this won't be a big problem if the coast is clear assuming the High Priest/Raging Ironhide managed to kill most, if not all, enemies at this point.

Eunectes' first talent, Peerless Bravery, has two different effects depending on the current percentage of her HP:

  • If Eunectes' HP is above 50%, Peerless Bravery makes her attacks do more damage, improving her DPS.
  • If Eunectes' HP is below 50%, Peerless Bravery grants her the Sanctuary effect, improving her survivability.

Her second talent, Resilience, increases Eunectes' SP generation rate when blocking enemies, mitigating her trait to a degree.

Eunectes have two Operator Modules:

  • Her HES-X Module, Zumama's Tool Box, allows Eunectes to generate SP at 20% of the normal rate when not blocking enemies, in addition to increasing her ATK and DEF (with the former being higher); once upgraded, Resilience's SP generation increase is enhanced.
  • Her HES-Y Module, "The Little Ugly Thing", allows Eunectes to receive SP from external sources when not blocking enemies and increases her ATK and DEF by 15% when blocking enemies, in addition to increasing Eunectes' ATK and DEF (with the latter being higher); once upgraded, Peerless Bravery's damage increase and Sanctuary effect is enhanced.

Eunectes' first base skill, Automation α (Automation β at Elite 2), increases Factories' productivity by 5% (10% for Automation β) for every Power Plant built (i.e. having three Power Plants increases productivity by 15% for Automation α or 30% for Automation β) when she is assigned to one, at the cost of reducing the productivity bonus of other Operators assigned to the Factory to 0 except for those with the Automation base skills as well (including Weedy's Bionic Seadragon). Her second base skill, I've Got This, makes the Power Plant Lancet-2 is assigned to counted as two Power Plants (to influence Automation α, Automation β, and Weedy's Bionic Seadragon) when Eunectes is assigned to the Control Center.

Overall, Eunectes is an idiosyncratic but great introduction to the Duelist Defenders who, despite her eccentric kit, proves to be one of the best Defenders by combining the best aspects of Protector Defenders and Dreadnought Guards into one package which makes her excel for both offensive and defensive roles alike, particularly taking hard-hitting enemies head-on.

Pros Cons
  • Very high ATK – the highest of all Defenders
  • Very high HP
  • Has an attack range of 1 tile ahead like most melee Operators
  • Menacing Slash "stunlocks" the enemy being blocked by Eunectes, useful to duel strong enemies
  • Peerless Bravery either increases damage dealt or applies the Sanctuary buff (reduces physical and Arts damage taken), depending on Eunectes' HP percentage
  • Iron Will turns Eunectes into a literal war machine with excellent offensive and defensive capabilities
  • Resilience increases SP generation rate
  • Very high DP cost
  • Can only block a single enemy, unlike other Defenders
  • Can only generate SP while blocking an enemy (even with SP generators), making Menacing Slash and Iron Will cannot be charged outside combat
  • Menacing Slash increases attack interval
  • Iron Will stuns Eunectes for a short time when it expires where she can neither attack nor block enemies
