Fumizuki is an NPC in Arknights. She plays a supporting role in the Shatter of a Vision arc of the Main Theme and also appears in various events such as Ancient Forge, Beyond Here, and Dossoles Holiday.

Background[]

Fumizuki is a princess from Higashi, hailing from the northern Kougon clan, whose family was purged by the Mitsumoto clan of the south.[1] As the wife of Wei Yenwu, the leader of Lungmen, she has tremendous political acumen that is far greater than him. She appears to be less ruthless and more gentle unlike Wei, but she can be tough on him on disagreeing issues and Wei's method of governing the city, turning Wei into a henpecked man in private. Even though she has never had her own child, Fumizuki has been raising up both Ch'en and Talulah like her own daughters. Knowing that her two nieces have become victims of political struggles since the execution of Talulah's father Edward, she hopes that her kindness could at least lessen their childhood traumas.

Fumizuki employs Shirayuki as her loyal bodyguard, but the two have an unimaginable first meeting. It is said that Shirayuki attempted to assassinate her in a winter under the order of the Southern Court following the purge. After a bitter swordfight between the two that led to her defeat, Shirayuki admired her determination and decided to follow her until the very end.[1]

Aside from being a capable Arts users, she is known to be a proficient biker which rumors says that she earns the title the "ghost driver in the flashes on the winding roads."[2]

Episode 05[]

In the aftermath of the battle at the L.G.D. HQ's rooftops, Fumizuki comes to Wei's side at his office and asks him whether Islam Witte of Ursus has responded to his inquiry regarding the involvement of the Empire throughout this Reunion affair. In turn, not only Wei has not received any respond from Witte, but also he speculates that something big is is about to happen behind the scenes. Fumizuki then reminds Wei to be more careful in the handling in order to prevent the very disaster started by the Duke of Kashchey twenty years ago that caused Talulah's separation from them and the destruction of the city. She also feels that very same aura in Kashchey on Talulah.[3]

Episode 06[]

After the joint operation between Rhodes Island and L.G.D. to clear Lungmen from the Reunion presence, Fumizuki allowed Kal'tsit to meet Wei and accompany her as he is having an argument with Amiya and later, Ch'en, telling Wei to stop keeping things to himself and listen to Kal'tsit.[4]

Episode 07[]

After Wei learned from Kal'tsit that Chernobog is on a collision course with Lungmen, Fumizuki relayed a message from one of Wei's messengers which confirmed the involvement of Ursus nobles, with her elaborating that Ursus deliberately allowed Reunion to take over Chernobog to further their goals. When the situation eventually descends into a personal conflict between Wei and Ch'en, Fumizuki can only stand in shock as Ch'en ultimately choose to leave Lungmen forever.[5]

Fumizuki tried to snap Wei out of his distress from seeing Ch'en walking her own path, telling him that his actions is what made Ch'en ended up acting against him, before stating that she will bring Ch'en back herself, but Wei opposes it only for Fumizuki to scold him back. She then successfully convinced R.I. to renew the contract between them and Lungmen, as they are the only ones who can stop Reunion and the collision without escalating the already tense situation.[6]

Later Fumizuki listens to Wei as he discussed about Talulah being Kashchey's heir and everything that happened up until now is part of his schemes, and planned to personally stop the collision himself, to which Fumizuki disagrees. Wei remained adamant of his decision despite Fumizuki's pleas, however, and even considering helping him as well, but Wei is against it, not wanting to see his beloved die. Wei then cries, regretting his actions, and Fumizuki consoles him, although Wei nevertheless told her that he will have the Shadow Guards take her to Sargon for her safety.[7]

Episode 08[]

Fortunately, the Chernobog-Lungmen crisis ends before things could escalate into warfare, allowing Fumizuki to remain in Lungmen.

Fumizuki appeared in a flashback where Wei told her that he wanted to have Rhodes Island take care of the remaining Lungmenite Infected. She asks him about Ch'en, to which Wei responds by saying he don't want to be involved with R.I. but allowed Fumizuki to liaise with them in his stead, and reminding her to give his regards to Ch'en.[8]

Fumizuki Intro

Fumizuki's introduction in Nian's B-movie

Fumizuki is featured in the scripts of a B-movie written by Nian as the Chief Executive of Lungmen instead of Wei Yenwu (who are reduced to a minor character instead) and are referred to by her full, legal name Wei Fumizuki. In the movie, Fumizuki welcomed Snowsant who had just been recruited to Lungmen's Frontier Defense Department and later, Amiya and the Doctor who are visiting Lungmen amidst the New Year celebrations.[9] Throughout Nian's attack on Lungmen, she coordinated the L.G.D. to repel the invasion in cooperation with R.I. and Lava.[10][11]

Beyond Here[]

When Hoshiguma is riding her motorbike on a circuit in Lungmen, Fumizuki rides her own motorcycle (a Stream-35LL Luminous Luxury), which the Oni notices and gladly have a race. The two managed to keep up with each other but eventually Fumizuki gains the upper hand. Fumizuki then reveals herself to Hoshiguma, praising her for both her skill in motorcycles and as an L.G.D. operative; Hoshiguma herself also claims that when it comes to motorcycles, Fumizuki is without a match.[2]

Dossoles Holiday[]

When the mayor of Dossoles, Candela Sanchez, invites Wei to the Bolívarian city, the chief executive of Lungmen is unable to personally head there due to his business. Originally Fumizuki intended to have Ch'en went to Dossoles in Wei's stead, but due to her being a Rhodes Island personnel now, she had Lin Yühsia to go to Dossoles instead, calling the Rat King regarding the matter. Upon hearing this from Fumizuki, Wei wishes to have Ch'en to represent him as well, and Fumizuki had Shirayuki deliver the message to Ch'en who are in Siesta at the time.[12]

After the events in Dossoles, Fumizuki asks Wei on how things went, to which he replied things went well before showing Fumizuki a photo taken to commemorate their vacation. Fumizuki is relieved to see Ch'en is doing well and when Wei responded positively to her question whether Ch'en would one day return to their side.[13]

Operator Records[]

Shirayuki[]

Sometime after Ch'en joined Rhodes Island following the Chernobog-Lungmen crisis, Fumizuki ordered Shirayuki to work with R.I. as an operator as well as to look after Ch'en for her and Wei. When Shirayuki questions R.I. as an organization run by the Infected, Fumizuki assured the Anaty kunoichi that they are trustworthy.[14]
