Full description[]

The mantle of Gaul's final emperor, Corsica I, preserved at the Royal Museum of Londinium. Due to any trace of Corsica I's being unknown, this mantle stands to this day as the only remaining insignia of the highest imperial power of Gaul, a nation now extinguished.

This gown was made in Lingones, the capital of Gaul, by the imperial tailor. At Corsica I's coronation, it was draped upon his shoulders personally by the empress consort, and hence accompanied him as he observed Gaul's ten or so years of flourishment. During his reign on the throne, he implemented numerous reformatory measures. After compiling a new imperial statute and signed several bills into passing, Gaul found its industrial potential and imperial power bolstered, with the nation as a whole exhibiting thriving form. In a broader view of the land, it was undebatably the wealthiest, most prosperous nation of Terra's centrum.

However, alongside the empire's wealth and prosperity emerged the thirst of an entire nation for resources, and its territory's expansion. Corsica I, an emperor made by his service merits, was bound to employ military conquest to its maximum, directly arousing severe resentment of Gaul in the other nation of the centrum, eventually sparking the Battle of the Four Emperors. Owing to his misjudgment of the situation, Corsica I commited a series of strategic blunders in the War of the Four Nations which ultimately led to the death of his forces, and the complete ruination of the future of the Gaulish Empire.

There are still Gaul restorationists to this day attempting to steal this relic from its museum, along with the splinter of the Gaulish empress consort's crown dubbed the "Right Eye of the Natator," seeking these as sacred items to unite Gaul's surviving adherents by.
