Unable to deploy on flooded tiles. Allied units and enemies in the water will be affected by "Erosion": Allied units have reduced ASPD, continually receive Corrosion Damage and receive additional Corrosion Damage when attacked; Enemies have reduced ASPD and Movement Speed, and continually lose HP.
—Description of operations featuring the High Tide

The High Tide is an operation mechanic[note 1] in Arknights, introduced in Dossoles Holiday.

Overview[]

Courtesy of Dossoles' scientists and architects who managed to replicate for use in the artificial sea bordering Dossoles, High Tide causes parts of the operation's map to be submerged in saltwater for a period of time at periodic intervals. A ripple can be seen on the edges of the screen as a warning that a High Tide is about to occur.

During a High Tide, friendly units cannot be deployed on submerged tiles although enemies are still able to move through them. In addition, both friendly and enemy units on submerged tiles will also be inflicted with "Erosion" where:

  • Enemies have their ASPD and speed reduced, and lose HP (actually taking True damage) over time.
  • Friendlies have their ASPD reduced and receive Corrosion Damage build-up every second and when attacked equal to a portion of the attacker's ATK.

The following methods can be used to mitigate High Tides and Erosion:

Interactions[]

Enemy Interaction
Immune to Erosion while on tiles submerged by High Tide (only in the first phase in Pancho Salas' case).
  • Immune to Erosion while on tiles submerged by High Tide.
  • Will become invisible and have their ATK increased by 40% while on tiles submerged by High Tide.
Takes 1000 True damage every second while on tiles submerged by High Tide, which stacks with the HP loss from the Erosion effect.

Trivia[]

  • The High Tide is possibly inspired by the tide mechanics in Big Wave Beach on Plants vs. Zombies 2.
  • During the High Tide, the voices of submerged Operators are echoed.
