House Nearl is a family in the world of Arknights. It is an aristocratic family of Pegasian Kurantas from Kazimierz.
Background[]
The Nearls are descendants of the Elderly Pegasi, the former aristocrats who ruled over Kazimierz. For generations, they as a family of campaign knights hold their traditional code of chivalry, and they have been viewed as heroes to many Kazimierzians. Specifically, in the year 1072 during the decisive "Daybreak over the Golden Prairie" against the Ursus Empire when Kazimierz attempted to recapture their lost land, Kirill the national hero led Ioleta Russell and five other Silverlance Pegasi to rescue 41 of their captured brethren, regrouped with the surviving knights, and form a breakthrough of the Ursus lines together, wiping out three thousand enemies.[1] The Nearls' commanding skill left an impressive memories to both the Kazimierzian knights and the Ursine military.
However, the fame of the Nearls started to diminish following series of incidents. Fifteen years ago, Schnitz, the heir of the family's Knight Primus, and his wife Yolanta embarked on a journey to the north following an urgent mission sent by the Adeptus Sprawiedliwi, but it resulted in their sudden disappearance which remains a mystery to the family members after the news was classified by the Adeptus.[2][3] Years later, Margeret was sent into exile under Kirill's arrangement when she openly opposed the commercialization of the Kazimierz Major and its knighthood which resulted in her being targeted by the greedy K.G.C.C., the stakeholders of the Major.[1] Since Kirill's death a year after Margeret's exile, the family has lost much of their wealth and power, and they almost lost their knighthood prior to the 24th Major season. Despite their dwindling name in the public, many campaign knights, especially the Silverlance Pegasi, still pay respect to the Nearls due to their heroic contributions.

- Yolanta Nearl?: The wife of Schnitz who is known to be an excellent archer through her Originium Arts. She hailed from a family of ancient knight-nobles and was a candidate for the Silverlance Pegasi.[4]
