In contrast to Aak's, his Elite 2 artwork and name imply he is specifically based on the un-gyō, the more doglike of the two that has a single horn on its forehead. While the a-gyō keeps evil out, the un-gyō keeps the good inside and thus has its mouth closed to utter "un."
