Ibut is a Sargonian region/district.
Background[]
Ibut appeared to be a typical Sargonian district until a violent strife twenty-two years ago (Terran year 1075). Padishah Murad of Ibut ordered the local Ameer to employ his mercenary forces to annihilate the Columbian "Sand Soldiers," scientist group from Blaine Formative who were stationed there to study an ancient Originium-based weapon of mass destruction. The conflict was part of the region's hungry desire to take control over the weapon, hence strengthening the Padishah's political power. During the conflict, countless scientist sacrificed their lives to protect the weapon, including Thorne, a professor of young Elliot Glover.[1]
After the bloody strife, Elliot and Old Isin had been lurking around Ibut by disguising themselves as black market overlords. He quietly collaborating with the Sunvalley Industries, a Rim Billitonian trading corporation, by buying from them weapons, goods, and accessories. He managed to gather up some other nearby poor tribes through his promise to protect them from the Ameers' armies. All of these were part of Elliot's lifetime goal to avenge Thorne's death.
Three years ago (Terran year 1094), seeing the opportunity was ripe, Elliot incited a rebellion against the Lord Ameer of Ibut through the tribe's opposition against his heavy taxation. The city was set on fire, and the Ameer was murdered during the riot. Since then, Ibut has been thwarted into an endless chaos. Vying over the vacant throne, the Ameer's son and the tribesmen taking control over the district had been fighting against each other and even among themselves, arousing a bloody tribal conflict.[2][3]
