A young Higashinese Aegir from the southern half of Higashi ruled by the Mitsumoto clan, Kirara is known for being an otaku who enjoys video games, anime, and manga so much even ever since her initial school times, to the point of obsession, which lead to her being ostracized by her schoolmates and even being held back for a year for constantly skipping classes, resulting in her becoming socially awkward and developing minor scopophobia. Kirara was forced to leave her hometown after contracting Oripathy and, after sending an urgent message to her only friend Utage and running into a hostage situation stemming from misunderstanding, joined Rhodes Island for treatment.
Now working as an electronic technician/mechanic for R.I., Kirara spends her off-time playing video games for long periods without a care; even when the games are confiscated, she will just play another, thanks to help of a shinobi team who can deliver anything anywhere, anytime (this isn't Naruto, you know). Nevertheless, Kirara proves to be an ingenious combatant on the battlefield who applies her gaming knowledge into real-life situations to gain an upper hand against her foes.
Gameplay[]
Kirara is a 5★ Ambusher Specialist who specializes in DPS and Survival. As an Ambusher Specialist, Kirara has a block count of zero, which means she cannot block enemies on her own, although this makes melee enemies unable to attack her, innately have Negative Taunt, can dodge both Physical and Arts attacks 50% at a time, and her attacks hit all enemies within her attack range of the surrounding eight tiles with a 1-tile extension in front of her, but with high attack interval and above-average DP cost.
Kirara's skills are meant to make full use of her traits by disrupting (and potentially clearing) enemy formations while avoiding retaliation from melee attackers:
- The first skill, Anchor Strike, causes Kirara's attack to deal an additional instance of Arts damage equal to a portion of her ATK every several attacks, providing a welcome increase to her DPS especially against high-DEF, low-RES enemies.
- The second skill, Anchor Point Snap, makes Lonesome Protector (see below) more effective and causes enemies within Kirara's attack range to receive Arts damage equal to a portion of her ATK every second while active. This can be useful if Kirara faces high-ATK ranged enemies, as the increased HP regeneration allows her to recover from the damaging blow quickly while the continuous Arts damage will soften up the enemies for her.
Kirara's talent, Lonesome Protector, makes her regenerate HP over time which is increased when there are no friendly units in the surrounding tiles to her and when Anchor Point Snap is active. This makes it preferable to deploy Kirara away from other friendlies, even though this will leave her open to ranged enemies.
Kirara's AMB-X Operator Module, We Will Survive 3 Online (yes, it's seriously a video game title), reduces the speed of enemies within her attack range by 20% in addition to increasing her maximum HP and DEF; once upgraded, Lonesome Protector's HP regeneration rate is increased.
Kirara's base skills, Order Flow Visualization α (Order Flow Visualization β at Elite 2), increases Trading Posts' order acquisition rate by 5% when she is assigned to one, and increases the "Pure Gold Production Line" (the count of Factories producing Pure Gold, to influence Tuye's Logistical Planning), by 2 for every 4 (2 for Order Flow Visualization β) Pure Gold Production Line.
Overall, Kirara is a good Ambusher Specialist who uses subterfuge to devastate the enemy ranks with little to no fear of retaliation, allowing her to often decide the outcome of battle when used correctly. She is indeed a pro gamer who is not afraid of strong enemies, only weak allies.
