The Nethersea Brandguider is an elite enemy in Arknights. They first appear in Stultifera Navis.
Description
- A new type of Sea Terror formed from a colony that was about to decay and die. In order to effectively utilize the last bit of nutrients in their bodies, all they need to do is smear themselves across the ground.
- After falling below half HP, spreads "Nethersea Brand" to tiles it travels over and gains increased DEF and Block requirement.
Overview[]
A humanoid Sea Terror that appears similarly to the Fishmen in Bloodborne and spawned from swarms nearing the end of its lifespan which releases their own essence wherever they goes to foster the growth of new swarms, Nethersea Brandguiders have significant HP, high ATK and decent DEF that makes them difficult to be defeated, although their RES is lacking. To compound this, when the Brandguiders' HP falls below 50%, they will spawn Nethersea Brands on the tiles they passed through (unless if the Brandguider is being Silenced), in addition to having their DEF quadrupled and becoming counted as two enemies when blocked, making them all but immune to Physical damage and difficult to stop if the player does not have Defenders and strong Casters (or Operators capable of ignoring DEF) at the ready.
