Salus is an NPC in Arknights. She makes a brief appearance in Episode 11.
Background[]
Salus is a Confessarius researcher who spends most of her time in the labs settled in Londinium. Her experiments and research's revolve in methods such as extracting emotions from memories. Being a Confessarius, Salus understands that life is an abstract element that only goes in one direction, like time itself.[1]
She's also Shining´s "sister" and old acquaintance on whom she used to hang out in the dinning table, amongst other activities. That, until the later betrayed them because of the inhuman nature of their experiments and took one of their test subjects, Liz, with her.[1] Even though Salus doesn´t seem to be mad at Shining, she disregards her decision of taking Liz away, and wants her to give them back their test subject, otherwise her Oripathy would worsen.[1]
Main Theme[]
Episode 11[]
After Shining met the Confessarii guards, Salus presented herself and told them to move away. She was excited for the dinner party that the Leader was organizing, as she hardly ate good meals given her time she spends in her labs, so she accompanied Shining to the Dinning hall. During the dinner, Salus talked about the experiments she has been conducting in the lab and the results they gave, as well as how her research progress stalled when Shining left.

An awkward reunion between the Confessarius' leader, Salus, and Shining
Salus then asked the Confessarius about how was Theresis' plan going, and why he was spending more time at his side rather than visiting her in the labs, on which he responded that what he's doing is going to be an impactful moment for all of the Sarkaz, even though Salus pointed out that neither he or his predecessor came from a Royal Court. The Confessarius then responds that "those unbound by history can truly unshackle power", referring to his intentions.[1]
Finally, Salus asked about how Liz was doing, on which Shining just responded that she was fine. Concerned, Salus stated that neither Kal'tsit could do something to help her, as she's far from being an average Infected person. If Liz' Oripathy worsens due to the experiments on which she was subjected, she would eventually turn into an emotionless "empty shell", and that's why she wanted Shining to come back.
Shining decides to leave the dinner after claiming that Liz is who she considers her family, which angers the Confessarius. Salus asked her why she's going to leave them and says she could make her to stay a little longer, only for the Confessarius to stop her.[1]
