Saria is a 6★ Guardian Defender who specializes in Defense, Healing, and Support. As a Guardian Defender, Saria can block two enemies initially or three when promoted to Elite 1 and has innate RES, but lower HP and DEF than Protector Defenders. As with most Defenders, Saria has a very short attack range (where Saria can only attack enemies who are on the same tile as her) but her ATK is surprisingly higher than Protector Defenders – even topping that of Hoshiguma, but below Blemishine.

Saria's main strength is her skills, which allows her to provide frontline medical support to her allies:

  • The first skill, First Aid, have Saria heal a friendly unit who had fallen below 50% HP in the surrounding tiles by a portion of her ATK when charged, which can stack multiple charges at higher levels. With a low SP cost, First Aid allows Saria to act as a substitute for Medical Medics and is particularly effective in conjunction with Boxing Gloves (see below).
  • The second skill, Medicine Dispensing, have Saria heal friendlies in the surrounding tiles with 3-tile extensions to all four cardinal directions by a portion of her ATK when charged. Having a relatively low SP cost, Medicine Dispensing turns Saria into a pseudo-Multi-target Medic who can heal her allies as efficiently as Medical Medics.
  • The third skill, Calcification, unlike the other two, is manually activated, which gradually restores the HP of all friendlies within a radius of 3 tiles around Saria by a small portion of her ATK and amplifies the Arts damage taken by enemies within the said radius as well as reducing their speed, but stops her from attacking (which, for some reason, is not stated in-game) while active. Calcification is excellent when facing hordes of enemies to make them easier to eliminate by concentrated DPS from Casters while the healing effect also allows Saria to keep her comrades alive while doing so.

Saria's first talent, Rhine Charged Suit, provides a slight, stacking buff to her ATK and DEF which kicks in every 20 seconds starting from when she was deployed and stacks additively up to five times, improving her combat effectiveness as long as she is not retreated. Her second talent, Refreshment, gives 1 SP to friendlies healed by Saria (including Saria herself), allowing her to fulfill an "SP generator" role similar to Ch'en, Liskarm, and Warfarin – with the caveat that Saria must heal the friendly for Refreshment to work.

Saria has two Operator Modules, one of which emphasizes on healing wounded operators, while the other one emphasizes on improving her capability as a Defender:

  • Her GUA-X Module, Unused Boxing Gloves, increases Saria's healing effectiveness on friendly units whose HP had fallen below 50% by 15%, in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK; once upgraded, the SP given by Refreshment is doubled and, at Stage 3, tripled for Rhine Lab Operators (Ifrit, Magallan, Mayer, Ptilopsis, Muelsyse, Saria herself, and Silence).
  • Her GUA-Y Module, Technology Rising Star Award, reduces the damage Saria took by 15%, which applies to all three types of damage (Physical, Arts, and Pure), in addition to increasing her maximum HP and ATK less than Unused Boxing Gloves, and DEF; once upgraded, Rhine Charged Suit's interval is reduced and its ATK/DEF buff are increased.

Saria's base skill, Clue Search α, increases the clue search rate by 10% when she is assigned to the Reception Room; at Elite 2, it becomes Watchman which also makes R.L. clues easier to obtain the longer Saria is in the Reception Room.

Overall, Saria is a versatile Guardian Defender who can not only act as a Defender/Medic hybrid, but also supports other Operators by acting as an SP generator and Arts damage amplifier, making her a good choice for most operations especially those involving swarms of hard-hitting enemies. What's Saria's answer when asked why won't she and her allies die? "Calcification, boy! They harden in response to physical trauma."
