The Sarkaz Sentinel is a normal enemy in Arknights. They first appear in Darknights Memoir.

Description

A Sarkaz mercenary. They are responsible for scouting, patrolling, and issuing early warnings to the entire squad. Once attacked, the Herald[sic] will immediately issue a warning that Inspires the entire army, shifting allied Sarkaz on Standby into Combat-Ready mode.

When injured, issues an alarm to immediately enhance the ATK and DEF of all enemy units, and makes enemies in Standby to immediately enter the Combat-Ready mode.

A Kazdelian Sarkaz mercenary scout, the Sarkaz Sentinel have no offensive capabilities whatsoever, but as soon as they take damage, they will raise the alarm, indicated by the Sentinel bearing a flag from that point onwards, to permanently increase the ATK and DEF of all enemies present at the time by 30%, which stacks additively if multiple Sarkaz Sentinels are present, and causes every single Sarkaz Bladeweavers and Sarkaz Grudgebearers in the Standby state present at the time to enter the Combat-Ready state. As such, it is best to not attack Sarkaz Sentinels until all the other enemies are defeated due to their lack of offensive abilities and meager stats makes them easily dispatched, and the Sentinel's increased DEF due to their buffs can be countered by using Arts damage. If all else fails, shifting the Sarkaz Sentinel into holes will instantly defeat them without letting the Sentinel raise the alarm.

However, Sarkaz Sentinels cannot be normally defeated without letting them raise the alarm, as they will survive with 1 HP remaining in the event the Sentinel's HP is reduced to 0 in one hit, unless they have already been hit at least once. In spite of this, should the Sentinel be attacked when blocked and before it has raised the alarm, it will play out the flag bearing animation (without raising the alarm) before actually doing so once the animation finishes, which takes ~1 second.[1] The same can also be achieved by shifting the Sentinel multiple times in a quick succession, repeatedly interrupting the animation.
