SilverAsh is a 6★ Lord Guard who specializes in DPS and Support. As a Lord Guard, SilverAsh has a ranged attack with a range of 2×3 tiles and a 1-tile (2-tile at Elite 1) extension up front and can target aerial enemies, but with only 80% of his ATK; in the event he is blocking an enemy (or when Rules of Survival is active, see below), SilverAsh will use a melee attack against them. This allows SilverAsh to be conveniently placed behind a Defender or stronger Guard and contribute to DPS. Of all Guards, SilverAsh boasts good all-around stats, making him among the best Guards in Arknights.

SilverAsh's skills make him one of the most versatile Operators in the game:

  • The first skill, Power Strike γ, is an advanced "critical hit" skill that greatly increases the damage dealt by SilverAsh's attack every several attacks, which is good for delivering sustained DPS.
  • The second skill, Rules of Survival, have SilverAsh assume a defensive stance which shortens his attack range to the tiles in front and sides of him (SilverAsh will use his melee attack against enemies within that range) in exchange for buffing his DEF and restoring his HP over time. With Rules of Survival, SilverAsh can act as a pseudo-Defender while retaining his good ATK for a Guard, allowing him to hold back enemies on his own. Just note that even with Rules of Survival, SilverAsh still can only block two enemies, so he can never replace a Defender in situations where one is truly needed.
  • The third skill, Truesilver Slash, is SilverAsh's most infamous skill: while active, it greatly buffs his ATK and makes his attacks hit multiple enemies at once within an enlarged range covering a radius of 3 tiles in front of him at the expense of significantly lowering his DEF; the attacks are counted as a melee attack, and as such, are not subject to his ranged attacks' damage penalty. Truesilver Slash allows Silverash to pummel just about every enemy into dust (unless if their HP and/or DEF is high enough to withstand the slashes) before they could approach him (and easily knock him out due to his paper-thin DEF while Truesilver Slash is active) and makes some of the most difficult operations easier. Despite its relatively long duration and high initial SP, Truesilver Slash has an extremely high SP cost, so players should time its usage carefully for maximum effectiveness, but there are ways to (somewhat) overcome this: retreat SilverAsh after Truesilver Slash ends and redeploy him or use a SP-battery operator such as Liskarm alongside him. The skill's high initial SP, especially at Mastery levels, allows it to be ready faster than if the player waits for Truesilver Slash to be charged all over again.

SilverAsh's first talent, Leader, slightly buffs his ATK and reduces the redeployment time of friendly units (including SilverAsh himself!), which is very helpful especially for Operators whose playstyle revolves around tactical deployment such as Executor Specialists and Summoner Supporters. His second talent, Eagle Eyes, reveals invisible enemies within SilverAsh's attack range, allowing him and his allies to take care of such enemies without much trouble.

SilverAsh's base skill, Karlan Commercial α (Lord of Karlan at Elite 2), increases Trading Posts' order acquisition rate by 15% (20% for Lord of Karlan) and order limit by 1 (3 for Lord of Karlan) when he is assigned to one.

Overall, SilverAsh is a very powerful and versatile Guard both on the offensive and the defensive, with his plethora of skills and talents made SilverAsh as one of the most sought after Operators by virtually every Doctors and can be used in virtually every scenarios. Satisfaction guaranteed, really.

Pros Cons
  • Has a ranged attack used when not blocking an enemy that can hit aerial enemies
  • Good overall stats
  • Rules of Survival greatly improves SilverAsh's survivability and can offset the Poison Haze effect in certain operations
  • Leader slightly buffs SilverAsh's ATK and reduces the redeployment cooldown of friendlies
  • Truesilver Slash can clear out entire waves of enemies with ease
  • Eagle Eyes reveals invisible enemies within SilverAsh's range, which is useful against dangerous invisible enemies such as Invisible Casters and synergizes well with Snipers; this also extends to Truesilver Slash, in a temporarily-expanded range
  • Ranged attacks do only 80% of melee attacks' damage
  • Unlike other Lord Guards, SilverAsh's ranged attacks has a noticeably longer wind-up time
  • Rules of Survival shortens SilverAsh's attack range (though he will use his melee attack at enemies within range), which also affects his Eagle Eyes range too, inadvertently impairing his ability to reveal invisible enemies from far away
  • Truesilver Slash has high SP cost, limiting its usage, and greatly lowers SilverAsh's DEF, leaving him vulnerable to enemies with high ATK; it is also not as effective against enemies with significant HP and/or DEF
  • Relies heavily on Truesilver Slash, thus SilverAsh must be promoted to Elite 2 and the skill must be improved all the way to Mastery 3 for full effectiveness
