The Endspeaker acts as the main boss of Stultifera Navis under the name The Endspeaker, Will of We Many.

Description

The tiny Seaborn that haunted the mighty Stultifera, the blood of its parents once strewn across the ocean's waters. The revelation reaches not the ears of the children, their kind's destiny quietly continuing to flow.

When defeated, disappears for a short time before evolving into its next form, gaining the following effects in turn: Gains increased DEF/Gains increased Movement Speed/Gains increased ATK and Lifesteal; [Consume] Consumes the Remains of its Seaborn kin, gaining their corresponding Directed Evolution ability in the next evolutionary phase, while also instantly defeating any Operators near the Remains and preventing them from being redeployed for a period of time.

Overview[]

The Endspeaker may look unassuming due to its low stat ratings at first glance, but its major annoyance lies in its ability to gradually evolve into increasingly dangerous forms over time while devouring its own Seaborn kin to obtain their powers.

  • Consume: When The Endspeaker is defeated in its first, second, and third phases, it will temporarily disappear as the next wave begins with two (three in SN-EX-8 and SN-S-5) Regressed Sea Monster enemies in varying orders depending on the operation (see the respective operations' enemy notes for more information) among them, which will leave behind a Remains upon defeat. Once the Regressed Sea Monsters and all enemies that spawns alongside them leaves the map, The Endspeaker will Consume the closest Remains (up to two closest Remains at Level 2) after a delay of 3 seconds before reappearing in its next phase where it was last defeated and inherits the Directed Evolution properties of the Regressed Sea Monster(s) that the Consumed Remains corresponded to for the next phase (indicated by their sigils that are visible on The Endspeaker); for further information, see the Directed Evolutions section below. Friendly units in the adjacent tiles of the Remains that would be Consumed by The Endspeaker (marked by a blue glow) will be instantly knocked out (even if their HP cannot be reduced below a certain amount) when it Consumes them, and Operators knocked out this way cannot be redeployed until The Endspeaker is defeated in its next phase.
    • If multiple Remains are stacked in one tile that is the closest to The Endspeaker, it will Consume all of them.
    • The Remains that are not Consumed will disappear when The Endspeaker reappears.
  • The Endspeaker innately possesses the following properties in each phase:
    • Phase 1
      • -60% HP, 0 ATK/DEF, and +0.2 speed.
      • Does not attack.
      • Cannot be blocked.
    • Phase 2
      • Tripled HP, -15% ATK, and +30 RES.
      • Uses a ranged attack that inflicts Nervous Impairment build-up equal to 60% of The Endspeaker's ATK in each attack. This is one of the highest sources of Nervous Impairment thanks to The Endspeaker's already high ATK, allowing it to cripple friendly units if they are not supported by Wandering Medics.
      • Counted as two enemies when blocked.
    • Phase 3
      • 2.5× HP, +30 RES, and +0.5 speed.
      • Uses a melee attack when blocked or a ranged attack otherwise.
      • Counted as two enemies when blocked.
    • Phase 4
      • Quadrupled HP, +15% ATK, +30 RES, and +0.5 speed.
      • Uses a melee attack when blocked or a ranged attack otherwise, both of which restores The Endspeaker's HP equal to 1.4× the damage dealt in each attack. This can render The Endspeaker unbeatable if the friendly units' DPS are not high enough to outdamage its lifestealing attack.
      • Counted as two enemies when blocked.

It is worth noting that The Endspeaker deducts 3 Life Points in the event it manages to enter a Protection Objective; it is the first boss outside Integrated Strategies with this distinction, so The Endspeaker must be defeated or the operation will end in an instant failure!

Directed Evolutions[]

The Endspeaker can dodge Physical and Arts attacks 50% of the time when not being Stunned, Frozen, put to Sleep, Levitated, or Bound.
When its HP falls below 40%, The Endspeaker's DEF is quintupled and it will be counted as three enemies when blocked.
The Endspeaker's ranged attacks can hit up to three targets within range at once.
The Endspeaker is immune to Slow and has Status Resistance.
The Endspeaker's ATK is increased by 8% with each attack, which stacks up to 160%. If The Endspeaker does not attack for at least 3.5 seconds, the ATK buff will decay at a rate of 8% every second.
