• Waai Fu has the traits of a tiger (Panthera tigris) similar with Broca, Indra, Mountain, and Swire.
• Waai Fu's name is the Cantonese (Jyutping) romanization of huái hǔ, which has an interesting reference:
  • "Waai" (Hanzi: 槐, Pinyin: Huái) is the Chinese name of the Chinese scholar tree (Styphnolobium japonicum) which reflects her status as an university student. In ancient China, the tree was often associated with good luck for the imperial examination.
  • "Fu" (Pinyin: Hǔ) not only sounds the same as "tiger" (虎), but also "tiger tally" (琥).
  • The name is also audibly similar to the term waifu used by certain anime lovers. Ironically, she is more of a "furry" rather than a typical anime girl.
